Minimum standards

MINIMUM STANDARDS

All rental properties must meet current legislative minimum standards before a tenancy can commence.

These standards are designed to ensure properties are safe, secure, and suitable for occupation.

Crossriver Property Group assists landlords in understanding and meeting these requirements, including safety compliance, smoke alarm obligations, heating and ventilation standards, and other regulatory checks. Our role is to ensure your property is compliant from the outset, reducing risk and supporting a smooth tenancy.

In NSW, rental properties must meet certain standards under residential tenancy laws, including:

  • Safe and functioning electrical, plumbing, and gas systems

  • Weatherproof and structurally sound buildings
